Create a new photoshop document
1 Open up Photoshop, create a new document that is 700px by 300px, with a background color of #3e4e61

Create the background
2 Set your foreground color to #252e38 and the background color #3e4e61. Select the Gradient Tool (G) with the Linear Gradient option. Drag the gradient from the bottom left corner to the top right

3 I found a nice stock created by Matthew Heidenreich , it can be found here I shrunk the image to fit the canvas. Select the eraser tool (E) and erase the edges of the stock, this will blend the stock into the background

Creating the graphical elements
4 Before we jump into creating the typography we will be creating simple circle shapes. Use the ellipse tool (U) and create one white (#ffffff) circle with a width of 95px and height of 95px

5 Double click the layer to open the layer styles box, use the settings below

6 Create a new layer, Select both the new layer and the one with the circle on it, right click the layer and select merge
7 Duplicate the layer and create a bunch of circles try to keep them thicker on the left side and fade out to the right. here is what I did

Great Tut. Excellent for redesigning blog logo and header.
Excellent, why did you decide not to put the colors in the target things?
